What is the work process like depending on my type of connection?
If you have a Standard or Pro account ( Source-Connect to Source-Connect ), we connect directly ID-to-ID for remote recording with full synchronization. If you are an end customer or agency without the software installed, we use Source-Connect Now , where you only need to open a link we send you to monitor the session in high quality from your Chrome browser.
Do I need to buy the software for my first session?
It's not necessary. You can use Source Elements' 15-day free trial to record, or the "Now" browser option if your role is only to lead the session.

It's not essential. You can activate your license via iLok Cloud with a free account at iLok.com, which works through your internet connection.
How does the free connection test work?
Before your official session, we schedule 10 minutes to verify that your signal and firewall allow a direct and smooth P2P connection, avoiding technical problems during the recording.
How and when will I receive my final files?
At the end of the session, we perform a quality control check and immediately send you a private download link with the tracks in high-resolution WAV format.
What technical network configuration do they use?
We work with UDP port mapping 6000 and 6001 with "Open" status to ensure the lowest possible latency and a stable point-to-point (P2P) connection.
Do they support advanced features like Auto-Restore and RTS?
Yes, in Pro sessions we enable automatic audio restoration and Remote Transport Sync so that both DAWs run in perfect parity.
